Sharp stones line the cave Revenge where fanged creatures with small eyes claw and scrabble in the dark.
Visitors stumble through and tear their arms and scrape their legs on sharp protrusions. Creatures bite to protect their homes. They can hardly see in the dim, but know the routes of their caverns intimately.
They drink deep and catch sightless fish from the river Revenge which runs through the cave.
Visitors get lost, stumble, and some, hindered by sight, fall into the river to be swept away. The cave beast eats some. Others walk off the edge of the east passageway (the only one that leads to sunlight) and fall into the pit of spears.
The furnace Jealousy burns in the the cavern Revenge. Fire creatures whine and sing within the flame. Their speech sounds like crackling sparks. They say: "Mine and dear! Dear and mine! Your tasty meat!"
Jealousy warms Revenge. Without the furnace, the caverns would grow cold and lifeless.
The fire sprites of Jealousy make fire blown jewels. Craven adventurers risk their lives to transport them to the surface. They sell the cursed jewels to lovers. The wearers become targets for thieves.
