Imperative wild flowers blossom in the valley Rapturous. Daisies with jagged-edged leaves and slim yellow petals flutter in the breeze beside frozen orchids with thick, dripping red and purple folds. Honeydew shimmers on erect stamens.
Visitors walk through hallucinogenic pollen seeing vivid colors and laughing with delight, “We are like honeybees!”
Rapturous honeybees have the capacity to sting, but rarely do. They contain their rage and live full lives.
"Rapturous remains a secretive place and hard to find," says Miss Emeline Traveler. "Yet, anyone committed to walking toward it eventually arrive."
She herself air dropped in, floating down from the sky and landing on soft, open blossoms.
"In Rapturous, everyone sleeps out of doors in the mild, fragrant air," says the Guide.
Dew waters the plants and evaporates in the sunshine. Sunbeams awaken the blossoms which unfold in glory. Visitors pick petals and smash them into wine.
“One can live for days off the liqueur of flowers," says the Guide.
On the cliffside of Rapturous sits the humble village, Pleased. Stairs lead up to it from the floral Rapturous valley. The waterfall Pleased descends alongside the steps and a permanent rainbow rises out of the mist.
"It is the best place from which to watch the Rapturous sunrises and sunsets overlooking the valley and see the blossoms unfurl for the day and fold into night," says Miss Doe Friend.
Homes are neat and the village well-tended in Pleased. The inhabitant's fur gleams with good health. The communal lodge serves sustaining food to travelers who arrive after long walks and prepare to descend the stairs into the Rapturous valley.
